Member States shall notify the Commission of a) all waters identified as bathing waters, b) including the reason for any change compared to the preceding year, before the start of the bathing season. Member States are only required to report for a given bathing season on a) new bathing waters and/or b) changes to the pre-existing bathing waters.Notes:- This reporting obligation was created to support data delivery according to the most recent data model published in 2019.- The spatial data is aligned with the reporting of Protected Areas under the Water Framework Directive.

Reporting under this obligation is used for EEA Core set of indicators.
